A Human Resources Department's Importance in an Organization

The human resource department's duty has evolved from typical "hire and fire" to a more in-depth position that focuses on other aspects of the business, such as employee engagement.

Human resource management (HRM) is a comprehensive, integrated, and consistent approach to the employment, development, and well-being of employees in businesses. (Armstrong, 2009) (Employees can be handled in an organized manner through human resource management, which includes processes like recruiting, selection, placement, induction, training and development, motivation, compensation, and benefits, among others. It contributes to the organization's production by maximizing personnel utilization. It also aids in the improvement of staff performance. HRM's major goal, according to Davenport (2013), is to attract, develop, and reserve the finest talent in the business. The HR department of a firm, on the other hand, is focused on developing various strategies and practices to achieve the company's objectives.
